Parental involvement is paramount to the success of the Central Jersey College Prep Charter School. Consequently, the school will encourage, through various opportunities, the continuous involvement of parents in both the planning and the operation of the school. Parents from the City of New Brunswick, North Brunswick Township and Franklin Township have been actively involved in the conceptual development of the CJCPCS.
Parents will also become an integral part of the operation of the CJCPCS in order to ensure high student achievement. There will be many opportunities for parents to be directly involved in the educational process of their children. Parental empowerment, as well as parental involvement, will be the goal at CJCPCS.
Upon applying for their child’s admission, parents will be invited to a series of workshops detailing opportunities for parental involvement in the school. It is the school’s profound desire that once parents are familiar with the benefits available to them through involvement and support, parental volunteerism and involvement will become a part of the regular school learning community culture. The school is envisioned as a center for learning, actively involving parents, students, teachers, and community members in an ongoing learning process. |
